We choose to add Dexter cattle to our farm due to their docile temperament. Dexter cattle are easy birthers and display excellent mothering traits. If you do not have large acreage but want to add cattle to your land, Dexter cattle are a wonderful option. We began our Dexter herd with White Rock Blossom and have grown the herd to 25 registered cows. All of our Dexter cows are registered through the American Dexter Cattle Association. We have a mixture of horned and polled cattle and are working towards a completely polled herd. When butchering Dexter cattle, you can expect a lean rich flavorful meat. Our Dexter cattle are raised on pasture to the age of 24-27 months before taken to slaughter. If Dexter cattle are scheduled to go to slaughter during the active growing seasons (March-November), they are placed in a large lot where they have constant access to hay and are fed a small amount of grain. Please visit our Cattle for Sale page to inquire about available cattle.
